University of the Bahamas Meal Plan Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms: By enrolling in one of the three university meal plans, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. Failure to adhere to these terms and conditions may result in the suspension or termination of your meal plan access.

2. Meal Plan Options:

a. The university offers various meal plan options (Basic, Standard, Premium) with specific benefits and features.

b. Meal plans are available for semester-based plans.

3. Duration and Activation:

a. Your selected meal plan is valid as of the beginning of the semester and/or the commencement of courses.

b. Dining dollars may be rolled between semesters but are not rolled over into the next academic year.

4. Meal Redemption:

a. Meal plans are designed as declining balance plans. This means that patrons may exceed the daily meal value if desired.

b. Meals can be redeemed at designated dining locations during operating hours. 

5. Dietary Preferences and Allergies:

a. The university aims to accommodate dietary preferences and allergies to the best of its ability.

b. Students with dietary restrictions must communicate these requirements during enrollment.

c. While efforts will be made to prevent cross-contamination, the university cannot guarantee allergen-free environments.

6. Changes and Cancellations:

a. Changes to meal plans can be made at any time during the academic year.

b. Cancellations are available and must be communicated in writing to businessenterprise@ub.edu.bs.

7. Sharing and Transfer:

a. Meal plans are non-transferable and should be used only by the enrolled student or current employee.

b. Sharing or lending meal plan credits to other individuals is strictly prohibited.

8. Termination and Violations:

a. Violation of these terms may result in the suspension or termination of your meal plan.

b. The university reserves the right to take appropriate actions in response to violations.

9. Limitation of Liability: The university is not responsible for any adverse health effects resulting from the consumption of food provided under the meal plan.

10. Modifications to Terms: The university reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions. Changes will be communicated to students through appropriate channels.

11. Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with these laws.

By enrolling in a university meal plan, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
